The technology will use electronic build up energy rather than the chemical energy that traditional batteries use. So, in the same way static energy builds up, so can this special carbon tube energy storage. This could pave the way for low-cost energy charging for everyday devices like MP3 players and mobile phones, which is available almost all the time.

The applications, also known as ‘apps’ are individual programs built into (or downloaded) the phone which allow the user to carry out hundreds of activities. The activities can range from Facebook, music library, football scores, the internet, ebay, calender, calculator, weather reports, and so on. Most iPhones are bought on contract although a new iPhone (bought as a pay as you go phone) is easily in the hundreds.

They have now revealed that a Boxee Box is indeed on its way and will be first shown to consumers on December 7th at a special ‘Boxee Beta Unveiling event’, which will take place in Brooklyn, New York City.

The free Boxee software that is currently available let’s users connect media devices and stream local video files, online videos and other services at no charge throughout their network.

Remote Play allows the user to boot up and control the PS3 console from anywhere with an internet connection. What you have to think about in all of this is the legal implications. Is it legal? Is it moral to ‘unlock’ software? What about the people who have developed the product or service? Or will it be fine as you can get away with it? Maybe with so many people wanting to unlock something, the original thing shouldn’t be locked in the first place!
