Do we really need to unlock phones these day?

Do we really need to unlock phones these day? Back in the days of the old Nokia, iy used to be cool and flashy to have an unlocked phone however I don’t think it really matters much these days. Why? First of all many of the newer phones come unlocked anyway in such a way that we can use it throughout wold with almost any Sim Card.

Yes, if you still have a 10 year old phone about as a backup, then you probably will need to unlock it however it won’t be as cool as it once was. (It will be geeky though)

Unlocking the iPad?

I’m sure you have all heard of Apple’s latest and most advance product the iPad!

Now, ever since the iPhones were released, people all over the world have tried to hack it and manipulate it. after failing over and over again over a very long period of time, they finally broke into it and manipulated it in ways not seen before.

I’m sure there are already many teams out there getting ready for the launch of Apples new iPad touch device. Waiting to manipulate it (and maybe even run windows on it!!!)

We’ll soon find out. I’ll  give it a few months from launch!

The new Apple Tablet

Apple were on the brink of destruction when they came out with the initial iPod which changed everything for them. from there, the company has progressed significantly and have moved on in many fields with success after success after success.

If you haven’t heard of it yet, Apple will be releasing their new tablet sometime this year hoping to take a bash at the market.

This said, Microsoft have quickly partnered with HP to bring and release their own which will be released before Apple’s

Who will win this war.

It’s a tough one and will take time to decide.

Modern showers

This invention is more popular amongst the richer citizens among us. Unlike an ordinary shower which sits above an individual, this shower system has several sprays around the shower-dock (the booth the individual stands in whilst having a shower). This allows for a more thorough wash and also massages the user more.

The sprays pattern of spraying can be alternated from how much water comes out to how fast the water comes out (the faster the shower sprayers, the more the body is massaged). Many footballers, music artists and upper class individuals usually own a multiple-spray shower system as it is more exotic than the one shooting shower above them.

Sony’s handheld console: PSP

Handheld consoles are nothing new. Nintendo’s gameboys have been around for a long while and are still a success today. That is why Sony, the playstation manufacturer and distributor designed a similar style console called the Playstation Portable, usually known as the PSP for short.

The PSP has a sleek design, neatly fitting in-between the user’s hands, as well as good button location. The PSP has been largely successful due to its immense graphics and fantastic game list. Major games that have come out on the PSP include Sonic games, Tekken, Resident Evil and Final Fantasy games, as well as football games like Pro Evolution Soccer and FIFA.

what is a lava lamp?

The lava lamp isn’t a recent invention as such, but they still sell sa favourable amount. The lamp contains wax, which when heated by the bulb, turns the lax almost liuidy and in effect, the wax ‘dances’ around inside the lamp. A bulb at the bottom of the lava lamp allows light and the heat to help ‘melt’ the wax. The lava itself comes in many different colours, as well as the liquid inside the lamp.

The shape can come in many different styles (including circular and oval), though the most common shape the lamp comes in is a rocket like shape.

ipods explained

The iPod is Apple’s first real music invention. It is an mp3 based gadget which is different to the standard mp3 players out there. The most notable is its appearance, coming in several striking colours (including silver, black, orange, blue, green and purple), as well as being slim and small. Secondly, and maybe more importantly is its music storage. The iPod storage can range from the simple 2gb (500 songs) to 120gb and even more!

iPods use a library system called ‘iTunes’ to store and edit playlists which in turn, form the music the user would favourably like on their iPod.

iphone release

It wasn’t a total shock when Apple, the iTunes and iPod manufacturer and distributor announced its plans for a phone based ipod. The phone now on the market has become very popular for its difference compared to other phones, but more so for its applications.

The applications, also known as ‘apps’ are individual programs built into (or downloaded) the phone which allow the user to carry out hundreds of activities. The activities can range from Facebook, music library, football scores, the internet, ebay, calender, calculator, weather reports, and so on. Most iPhones are bought on contract although a new iPhone (bought as a pay as you go phone) is easily in the hundreds.

Mobile phones do not cause cancer

One of the never-ending debates about whether or not mobile phone emissions can cause tumours is once again being brought to light. This time the study results swing in the favour of cancer-free mobile phones.

It was originally brought up in the 1990s, where it was thought radio frequencies output from mobile phones may have a link to causing brain cancer due to their close proximity to the user.

This ‘nay or yay’ argument abut mobile phones causing cancer has gone back and forth many times, with the last big study in 2006 suggesting mobile phones with high levels of ‘radiation’ can cause tumours. This has now been contradicted by a Scandinavian study which showed no noticeable changes impacted by mobile phone usage on the number of cancer sufferers.

New mobile phone friendly Twitter interface

Twitter, the popular microblogging website, has unveiled a new interface that makes it more user-friendly for people who view the website on their mobile phones.

The portable version of Twitter can be accessed on mobile phones by pointing their web browser to mobile.twitter.com (previously m.twitter.com). This can only be viewed on a mobile phone, trying to go to that web address on your PC will cause the website automatically redirect you to the standard Twitter homepage.

A number of mobile operators in the UK may soon support free Twitter updates as part of a scheme being pushed by Twitter itself.
